FACEBOOK
With more than 500 million people, Facebook is becoming one of the largest social media site in the world. This site is constantly used by the younger generations like teenagers and kids due to the accessibility to wide a variety games on this site as well. At the same time, we cannot deny the fact that more and more older people are learning to use it, just to keep in contact with others. That is exactly one of the reasons Facebook has been so popular nowadays. With it, you can keep in touch with your family, friends, famous people and even companies. It is very easy to make new acquaintances by simply clicking or tapping on the option “Add Friend”. You can be friends with everybody and even meet new people from different parts of the world. Facebook allows you to follow famous people’s status and updates of their lives without having to know them in real life.

FACEBOOK
One of the biggest problems with Facebook is that it is very addictive or can make you become addictive easily.  The more friends and strangers you have on it, the more time you spend in commenting, viewing other’s pictures, playing games or doing other stuff. Once you log into your Facebook account you can easily spend several hours a day on it. Many people know the drawbacks of using Facebook but still, they can’t stop using it. Some people use it as a stalking tool or to gossip about other people’s lives. There is nothing productive or good about Facebook than a simply waste of time. Nowadays, people prefer to talk to their “friends” online, than having a real life conversation in person. Many people use Facebook day and night without thinking how much time they have wasted on it, and that they could have done something more important during that time.

  2. I like how you juxtaposed the two ideas. Facebook can be both a blessing and a curse. Initially Facebook was created for college students so networking and finding friends and companies as you mentioned is a great way to get into the workforce. Also, I've heard stories of twins, who were separated at birth, finding each other many years later. On the contrary, Facebook can be an addiction I remember when I was in the University and I would spend a lot of time on Facebook and not do my homework and that's when it was in its initial stages. Nowadays, I'm sure kids are even more addicted as there are far more things to do now such as playing games and listening to music. Adding to that, I saw on the news that a lady killed another person just because they didn't add her on Facebook, they rejected her friend request… Talk about being obsessed. Overall, I think many people share the same love hate relationship, or should I say Like or Dislike relationship with Facebook. It is officially a part of our culture now. And I can say that Facebook , If not already, will be added into the dictionary of just about all languages.

  3. This is great, I agree with your points. Facebook has become an integral part of our society, it's true that the lack of innovation will drive away older users but each generation will grow acostumed to it. Therefore Facebook has to push innovation to become itself a unique way of identification like a nest for your apidentiy online I do believe this is where Facebook is aiming and how it will become in the future.
